Changes to e-Invoicing and e-Waybill HSN Code Requirements Coming into Effect on October 1, 2023
The GST E-way bill system has issued an update, reminding GST taxpayers to use either 6-digit or 4-digit HSN Codes, which will soon become mandatory. If your annual turnover is over Rs 5 Crore, you must use a 6-digit HSN code. Others should use a 4-digit HSN code.
This change will be enforced from October 1, 2023, for e-Waybills and e-Invoices. Please make sure to comply with this requirement by the specified date.
